The Rumor-Filled Totally False Account of How I Ruined My Flawless Reputation

This week's Chick Flick is.....{drum roll}.......

{Via viewfromacouch.wordpress.com}

Easy A with none other than Ms. Emma Stone!

Following a class assignment to read The Scarlet Letter, Olive finds herself being caught up in a few lies that spread like wildfire, ruining her reputation. What starts as a small white lie to a friend, turns into a bundle of false accounts about Olive's love life. She handles it with some grace, some humor, and a self-sewn A on her newly acquired wardrobe.

Add in her (smokin' hot) childhood crush, a jealous best friend, and a (pre-crazy) Amanda Bynes enemy for a quotastic {yes, we made that word up!} movie.

We also truly hope to become parents as funny as Olive's one day.

Also, the Pocket Full of Sunshine scenes are hilarious!
Prepare to have this gem stuck in your head all day.
{You're welcome!}

And, any true chick flick lover understands the love of John Hughes and hopeless romantic desires.

Krull the Warrior King

{via Pinterest}

I truly hope that several of you guessed this weeks Chick Flick just by the title alone. If so, bravo! If not, you need to go watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days immediately!

For those of you who have yet to have the joy of watching this movie, it is basically a hilarious guidebook of the crazy ways women go wrong when approaching a new relationship.

Kate Hudson plays Andie, a writer for "Composure" magazine. In order to save one of her recently dumped friends from a bad situation, she volunteers to write a How-To article entitled How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. For the article she will begin dating a guy and perform all the common mistakes women do in the beginning to scare a guy off. Trouble is her test subject, Matthew McConaughey, Ben, is also in it the relationship under false pretenses for work.

As much as she tries to scare him away, he just won't run!

Can they push aside their lies and give the relationship a real shot?

We'll give you a hint...it's a happy ending!

So Many Books; So Little Time

{via amazon.com}

Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan was a book that I did not have the highest expectations for. I was immediately drawn in to the humor the characters possessed. The writing made the characters very relatable and very lovable. This book is about a mother of two, Sadie Turner, who's normally perfectly organized life has been tossed into disarray with an upcoming divorce due to her husbands infidelity. She and her two children escape to her aunt's lake house for the summer in hopes to regain a fresh outlook on her future.
Her aunt and her two cousins are all trying to set Sadie up with the hot neighbor. Men are the last thing Sadie has in mind for getting her life in order, but even she can't resist the good looks and good nature of Desmond.

This week, I chose a dance mystery series that I had an absolute blast reading! It's about a dance teacher named Jenny T. Partridge who owns a dance school. She barely makes ends meet and constantly has to deal with psycho dance moms. And, then of course, there's the super hot detective who she just can't seem to stay away from. Think Stephanie Plum from the Janet Evanovich series but as a dance teacher. This is a series you don't want to miss! It is filled with laughter and mayhem at every turn.

Why Are You Naked?!

Today, we choose The Proposal as our chick flick. The combination of Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds is masterful. Their comedic timing and chemistry is positively uplifting, and right now, we could both use a little happy in our week!

Sandra Bullock's character Margaret is from Canada and is threatened with being deported since her visa is no long valid. She then comes up with a scheme to marry her assistant, Ryan Reynold's character Andrew, who thinks she belittles on a daily basis.

They go to Alaska to visit Andrew's family for Gammy's 90th birthday and to prove that they are really getting married. Once Andrew's family finds out their "engaged," hilarity ensues.

You also get to catch Betty White in all her glory, singing Get Low...what's not to love?

The days spent together in Alaska made both Andrew and Margaret realize how much they knew about each other and how much they love each other. You must watch to find out how they get there and what happens when they do.

{Side note: If you love The Office, Oscar is in this movie and is hilarious.}

If you need a little laugh and love in your life, this is the movie for you!
Or, if you just want to stare at Ryan Reynolds in all his beautiful-ness {and a lot of it is shown}, we'll join you. :)
Enjoy!!!
