All We Need Is Coffee & A Good Book

{via GoodReads}

This book is a great book for anyone who is considering changing to a healthier lifestyle. This book has a witty writing style, a Cinderella Pact weight loss plan between friends, and a main character with a second false identity for work.
Nola Devlin creates a secret identity to apply for her dream job, which she was declined for. Her fake identity was a picture of her when she was thin in college, and basically the same qualifications she has and which should have qualified her for the position. Sarah Strohmeyer managed to relay a very strong central message about self-worth and body image, while still maintaining a witty and light hearted read.

So, I know Mary already talked about how awesome Sophie Kinsella is, but I just wanted to say it again! I love this author. Like, I want to read all her stuff!!
Okay, but anyway, this book is ridiculously awesome. It starts funny and ends sappy. It's perfect in every way, and I cannot even begin to count how many times I had to put down the book because I couldn't take the awkwardness. I laughed out loud and cheered on the heroine.
If you want a quick and fun read, pick this!

Turn the Page

{http://portlandbookreview.com/bet-me/}

Cal Morrisey asks out Min Dobbs (Not my favorite character names) at a bar in order to win a bet. Min is a curvy woman who has yet to find a man who even remotely gives her some spark. She somehow finds herself agreeing to go to dinner with him, and they both end the night thinking they will never see each other again.
Little do they know that won't do. They just keep seem to be thwarted together. She tries to resist the charm and attraction she feels towards Cal, but it seems pretty impossible! This book is humorous, fun and a little quirky. It's a very good read. :)

This is a relatively new book. It was released in May of this year. So, one of the perks of temping for a library system is that I get to look at books all day! Well, this one came across my desk a couple weeks ago as I was checking it in, and I decided that I really wanted to read it. So, I checked it out to myself and read it. I literally finished half the book in one Sunday morning I loved it so!
It is the story of a bride the week before her second wedding. She's panicked and flustered trying to maintain peace between her mother and her future mother-in-law and trying to make herself fit in the perfectly traditional gown that her groom's mother and grandmother both wore on their wedding day. But, oops! Her ex-husband shows up at the beautiful Vermont resort scouting film locations. However will she cope with a thrown together wedding to a surgeon while her ex makes goo goo eyes at her??
Lots of love and laughs!

Help Me. I'm Poor.

Did you guess what our movie is just by our blog title??
Please say you did!!!
If not, here's a picture clue. :)

Oh, yes.
We picked Bridesmaids.
Why?
Simply because it's awesome, and everyone should see it with their girlfriends.
Here's why...

Basically, it's got a lot of quotable moments, which gives you even more of a reason to see it. You will be quoting this movie to yourself...to your friends...to strangers. You may also be singing Wilson Phillips and doing a strange dance here and there.

(This movie was one of Rebel Wilson's big breaks)

This movie is just plain brilliant. It's all about the relationships of women when getting ready for a wedding (and in general), and there's a lot of truth to it. Women bring drama, we all know this...but in the end, all bridal parties should be close like this!

Cassie's was!

Oh, and there's a love story in the movie too!

We have to give a forewarning though that this movie is a tad crude -- if you don't like some crude humor, it may not be for you. Imagine a female version of The Hangover -- with less nudity.
